ETC was challenged with developing a product for a State’s Police Communications System that consisted of approximately thirty-two (32) Radio Towers across the State encompassing about 54,000 sq. miles. They requested a product that would support a redundancy solution to back up their VoIP Network in the case of a Tower or Network Outage.

ETC accepted the challenge and provided the State with a cost effective solution that seamlessly integrated their existing Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Network with an Off-Network Dial Back-Up System that can be remotely operated.  This solution is based on ETC's Viper Series VG-240E Digital Hybrid.  ETC's Viper Series VG-240E Digital Hybrid solution permits the State to continue using their legacy network while having complete confidence that in a network failure situation, they can switch over to ETC’s Hybrid solution for complete communication functionality.
