The infrastructure that enables continuous business operations MUST be safeguarded. Unfortunately, natural and man-made disasters do occur. ETC offers Business Continuity Planning Services to assist our clients in preparing for, and responding to, events that disrupt critical operations.
Working in concert with our clients’ Business Continuity/Contingency Planning Teams, ETC is able to:
- Identify a list of business functions deemed to be vital to the successful operations of the company and the services provided to external clients;
- Identify the facilities, technology and personnel elements that are required to support and maintain the business functions that have been identified;
- Assess the business impact related to possible failure scenarios and develop appropriate response plans for each;
- Assist in the review and evaluation of appropriate sites, facilities and recovery options;
- Develop a Business Continuity/Contingency Plan for ALL scenarios encompassing voice and data communications components, Data Center and desktop hardware and software, enterprise storage systems, etc.;
In a world facing Pandemics, Terror Attacks, Severe Black Outs and Shifting Vendor Relations, Companies have to be prepared for any possibility. ETC’s Disaster Recovery Solution makes it possible to put those fears to rest for our clients, as they know their assets and livelihood are now protected.
During the September 11th Terror Attacks, most of ETC's Hoot and Holler clients were still able to use their ETC-Designed Solutions to talk to their employees because they had planned ahead.
Since that tragedy, ETC has taken further steps in this arena. We have developed a business partnership with WestCom (which has since been purchased by IPC) in which we work closely together to develop solutions focusing on the importance of LAN/WAN Technology. When a Hoot Circuit crashes, ETC’s VG-240E Digital Hybrid connects a 2-wire circuit and re-establishes communication with the affected location without a glitch.
